Grammar mistakes and typos on Yahoo news
I just read four random news articles on Yahoo news and three of the four had grammatical errors. One was missing a connecting word in a sentence. The other two had used the wrong word. In one article, the word was literary instead of literally.
Do you all not have editors or even AI that checks the articles? ****, I use the grammar check on Microsoft Word, and it catches almost everything. It is irritating that journalists on Yahoo are apparently not using these tools or even people to proofread their work.
News is getting progressively sloppier. The writing on…

I recommend you actually fact check what you’re publishing. This article I read is full of fallacies. https://www.yahoo.com/news/pentagon-
Specifically, if you’re going to make claims about Marine Corps regulations, you should cite those regulations. You’ll find that those orders don’t require Marines to get a haircut once a week. The fact they we take pride in our and our Marines appearance is not unusual it’s what sets us apart, and it has been that way. Female Marines have other options besides only wearing a bun, etc. Also, the Service Charlie and Service Bravo. uniforms are more comfortable than the cammies as they are tailored. The Marines are taught and know how to clean and press their own uniforms,…

Article Error
Hi, there was just printed an article by Ewan Gleadow that stats Black Sabbath changed their name from Earth to Black Sabbath after discovering another band existed by the name of Earth—a band Ewan stats was founded in 1989... Black Sabbath's first album was in 1970. This doesn't make any sense. Please someone do something to correct this grievous error. Thank you.

Do not Keep up articles where “commenting has ended.”
If “commenting has been ended” on an article, there is no reason for the article to remain up, or, most egregiously, reposted with the current date. I was preparing to comment on an article with the dateline of today (1/1/24), when I saw that commenting had somehow already ended. Looking at the comments, they were from 3 weeks prior. How does commenting end 3 weeks before an article is posted? If an article is worth reposting, the public has the right to determine if it is still worth commenting on. I realized some factual errors and inaccurate assumptions made in…

Why do you frequently repeat news stories? Today, the same article on Tiffany Haddish appears again three stories later.
Stop repeating articles.

Don't kick people off Yahoo news comments for pointing out your mistakes.
Hello,
I'm a journalist who commented of the USA today's story published by Yahoo news. The story was not marked opinion. But it was infact an opinion piece. The headline read as follows:USA TODAY Sports - Golfweek

Tue, June 21, 2022, 2:19 PM·5 min readUnder comments I said that the headline was misleading and click-bait even though in the lead you stated that it was a "metaphoical horses head." I said that it was a journalism 101 mistake. The headline…

Rotterdam
In the article https://news.yahoo.com/statue-black-woman-becomes-must-190000360.html it is mentioned that the train station is in Amsterdam which is indeed the capital of the Netherlands. However this train station called Rotterdam Centraal as well as the statue are both located in the city of Rotterdam just as the name of the train station suggests. Amsterdam has nothing to do with this.

Picture of Las Vegas, New Mexico showed Las Vegas, Nevada
The headline was only 50 days of clean water left in Las Vegas, NM but the picture with the headline was a picture of Las Vegas, Nevada. Very misleading if you don't slow down to pay attention.

Proofreading would be good.
For instance, in the article I was reading about covid. You have a list of states/cases. Guam and Puerto Rico are not states. If you are going to list them oh, then you should say States and/or territories.

Yahoo is faking click-throughs on their "news" page. Every time I visit the site, three new tabs appear in my browser. This is dishonest.
This is dishonest and probably illegal. You're cheating your advertisers.
