put canadian news first, and then american, and then world news. Why is there so much Daily Mail news from the UK on my homepage?
put local news, national news, continental news, and then world news in that order. I don't live in the UK, I live in Canada, yet I go Daily Mail news all over my home page. I don't give a FF about what happens in the UK.

Flora MacDonald, a TRAIL BLAZING Canadian politician, died yesterday: not a word on Yahoo.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, an insignificant to Canada, and/or to humanity, US drug addict dies today and you give her BANNER Headlines!THUD... sound of my head ******* on my desk!

This is because many IT systems have no Canadian locale. They use the British English dictionary for Canada. As such many systems elevate UK content to the top. This is a problem that I have encountered in many IT systems and websites.

the above comment is 'spot on', absolutely at point, and speaks to the problem very eloquently (don't give a FF...) so I can add very little except WHO IS THE IDIOT THAT ORGANIZED IT LIKE THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE ???

Daily Mail, links that don't work, news stories that are from April 2014. Sloppy work doesn't make people return.

Please get rid of all the UK Daily Mail articles. They are simply not relevant to Yahoo.ca
It is not even news reporting, their stories are sensational nonsense. -

I agree. I live in Canada. All this DM news just boggles my mind. What was Yahoo thinking?

I absolutely agree!!! Why are we suddenly inundated with Daily Mail news from the UK when I like in Canada? It's like reading news from the National Enquirer!! I DON'T WANT IT, thank you very much.

Yahoo is doing this to save money by stealing other peoples stories instead of getting their own.
It is also apparent that the removal of Yahoo stories results in less comments and avitars from our comments saving them storage and being able to post more adds that make them money, while driving us crazy.
I too am from Canada, and don't care about most of these stories.
I want Canadian news stories.
And the fact that I pay for the Internet it would be nice if I could get Canadian news when o my homepage.
Nowadays it's all about the profits not customer service.
We are forced to read about the Kardashians over real news.
So sad. -

I have the same DM news all over from the top to the bottom and the other thing is DM won't accept your comment got to be the way they want not the way you think.

Agreed, I'm getting tired of all these UK related stories. Don't care. Is there really that little going on in Canada? At least put North American content first.

Daily Mail is an extremely scummy news site with nothing but sensationalized/click-baiting headlines and shouldn't be taken as a source for anything newsworthy, but going by the headlines I see on Yahoo the majority of the time it's actually par for the course.

I agree. In general, I want real news not tabloid or celebrity fluff pieces.

I totally agree with Patrick. I came on to give feedback on the exact thing and found this comment. This seems to have happened just recently and I will not be looking at yahoo much longer if this is the case. I am seeing more and more UK news every day. What gives when we are signing into yahoo canada.

Agree if I want UK news I will go to Yahoo UK If you are going to use a UK source then go with the BBC the Daily Mail is probably the worst news organization in the UK It must be cheap for Yahoo to use it so much
