To choose distraction over information in newsfeeds is a very superficial strategy by Yahoo's editors.
I am so sick and tired of the type of news you put on your newsfeed: Kate Middleton's every move, the idocies of the Kardashian family, babies laughing, pets cute moves, what did the stars wear on red carpets. Meanwhile, the world is upside down, the weather warfare is waged against humanity, crimes against humanity go unpunished and people around the world are starving.

Yahoo Canada, do you realize (yes, we spell it with a "z") that you (Yahoo) misspell hundreds of words in your articles. We spell most words the same way they are spelled in the US. I was surprised when you posted the story about the unemployed person looking for work outside a stadium, without providing any information about the person - not even their name. Had their name and a little information been provided, someone in a hiring position might be able to contact him via seeing the story online.

I was trying to access my information - so I can start using my flickr account, and upon requesting this I received another users information. Please help me..... My flickr account is LMP but my last computer with the saved info fried, and my cell phone died so both with me are new tech. which does not have the saved passwords -- so I need to access my password and I can provide you with some information about myself when you contact me.

I agree with almost all of the feedback you are getting. You had a good thing going, why change it?
Fire the idiots who think these changes are needed.. It seems that very few people.. if any, are happy with the new format. I personally am not a big fan of MSN, but am seriously starting to consider them as the better alternative
