Yahoo Mail doesn't work with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 Anniversary Release - only shows the basic user experience
Internet Explorer 11 must have a new browser version in the latest Windows 10 release that just came out (1607 release). Yahoo Mail does not even offer the ability to go to the full mail interface - it just defaults to the basic interface.

I don't have technical expertise. You're right, this sucks.
ok now that I need to identify myself with my e-mail address, I can add that a number of IT people have been pushing me to ditch yahoo mail and I have resisted. Now I have an UPDATE and 3 steps backwards.

my computer up dated it self and when it did my my yahoo mail when to the old mail I don't no why that is please if you can fix this I would be happy thanks my name is donna victoria

I have been using Yahoo Mail for years but with the latest upgrade to Windows 10 my mail box has reverted back to basic mail. It will not even let me bring up the contact box if I want to forward and email. I don't understand that the browser is unsupported and I must upgrade to Firefox. IE 11 has worked for years.
I have tried Firefox in the past and am totally unimpressed with the browser.
I guess the falling fortunes of Yahoo means that they must also alienate their users. -

Yahoo Mail now only provides the Basic version running on IE 11 on Windows 10 Anniversary. There is an incorrect notice at the top of Yahoo mail stating that the browser is unsupported. I am not sure whether this is Microsoft's fault or Yahoo's fault or the interaction (or lack thereof) between the two. In any case, it is essential that this be fixed and soon. I am not experiencing this problem on an older version of Windows and IE. Even if this is a Microsoft problem, Yahoo needs to work this out with them on behalf of its users. Thx.

Agree with the comments, and an additional problem is that If you try to forward the email, it converts everything to garbled text.

I have been using IE11 with Yahoo Mail but after a recent upgrade Yahoo will only show my mail in basic. It keeps trying to have me change my browser to FoxFire. What a rip off. Come on Yahoo, get your act together.

This is forcing one to change the browser of their choice. What nerve! I intend to stay with my Internet Explorer and go to another mail. I resent having to go to the trouble even though I have known other email providers are better. If I can't get the previous email back by Tuesday I am gone. along with a local charity account I run. I doubt I will hear anything because I have never gotten a reply from Yahoo when I have written. Internet Explorer is the most popular - yahoo could enable it to be used so it must be a money advantage for yahoo.

I'm with everybody here. Why can't YAHOO keep up with the most current operating systems and browser? This is very frustrating and shows why yahoo is sinking fast. Please get your act together!

Can not access the "settings" icon, because it is no longer there..... Want to put my conversations together so I don't have 8 pages of email to sort through.....

Yes I'm experiencing the same problem. Can't change from basic to advanced. This needs to be fixed!! Basic is clunky and a headache to navigate.

Yahoo mail using IE 11 in Win 10 simply does not work. NO settings gear button. But I have found a solution: Emailing everyone to use my gmail account. IT WORKS!!@

Get your act together. This is ridiculous. I have had my email address for at least 15 years. Now I am back to basic just because this new computer came with Windows 10 and the new IE 11.

Why was my Yahoo mail changed back to basic after the Windows 10 Anniversary Release? I would like the old version back.
