Let me log into my account with my password! I can go via mail.yahoo.com, but a straight login with correct password actually fails! Intermingling these things...account and e-mail...and do it so badly, is a FAIL! Please, Yahoo!, stop monkeying with things. Go back on all counts to what worked. Respect my privacy instead of demanding access to all sorts of things so you get to be the privileged gatekeeper...especially after publishing and compromising so much of our personal data already. Trust us. Especially on an account like mine that's about 20 years old. The problems with passwords have never been my doing. They've all been yours. It's not a problem if you aren't so intrusive as to put our data at risk. Why should you be a "trusted" provider for more data than you need? In fact, why should ANY company, regardless of intent. All it does is put more data out in the world, more at risk, so more problems happen. Stop being part of the problem and finally be part of the solution. "KISS" method here would help a lot. What ain't broke, stop trying to fix...or take data from!
