Get rid if the new toolbar at the top of "my yahoo" page
Why would you think that I want your toolbar to take up 30-50% of my screen when I zoom in? Idiots!

Bump for those who don't read through all of the comments. You can't block the header but you can get it to scroll like before with a Firefox addon called Greasemonkey and the appropriate script.
Here's the Greasemonkey script for Firefox that allows the search header to be scrolled for all Yahoo pages.

The important thing to do is never use it, never click into the search box. They're probably counting uses while ignoring the prevailing sentiment. All they care about is getting you to use their search bar instead of Google or others.

Did OBAMA create this Layout? The days are counting. And if yahoo doesn't get this corrected they are going to have a hard time retrieving old members back from GOOGLE's news media. And I'll be there too.

I hate that toolbar or whatever it is. Will I have to change my homepage? It's been my.yahoo for ... gee, since the late 1990's.

This toolbar is annoying. Now when I choose page down, I don't go to the right place, and it makes the content I want too narrow. Give us all a break and stop fixing what isn't broken!

If they do not remove this **** toolbar at th top (or allow me to disable it) I'm done with Yahoo as a homepage. It takes up 15-20% of the screen!! Sucks.

Here's a simple Greasemonkey script that allows it to be scrolled for all Yahoo pages.

I don't usually install addons but Greasemonkey seems to work without any issues. I use Firefox and the script works great for me. -

I have been a fan of Yahoo since day one. However, this latest addition to "my yahoo" has adversely affected my pleasure in using Yahoo as my portal page. I respectfully request that you provide your users with an option to revert to the old format. Thank you!

go to ca.yahoo or ca.my.yahoo, those are the yahoo Canada pages for yahoo and my yahoo. It's the old layout without the floating toolbar and the alert button up to where it's supposed to be.
Also ca.news.yahoo is the Canada news home page and it's the old layout that yahoo used to use.
Tell a friend and help drive traffic away from yahoo US.

I so agree. The thing doesn't even scroll up with the rest of the screen. It just sits there wasting real estate.

I also hate the new toolbar. Please remove it or give folks and option to remove it.

The "My Yahoo" page already has a pop-down list that includes all of the stuff on the needless new header bar. Just under the words "My Yahoo" in the upper left corner is the word "Quicklinks." Click on it and all of the header items pop-down. THE NEW HEADER BAR IS A NEEDLESS WASTE OF SPACE ON THE PAGE.
