The weather app on the new My Yahoo absolutely sucks. The current location is not where I live.
This app is not user friendly. It makes decisions for me that I do not want to make. The classic view always displayed my 10 or so locations on the home screen. Now the current location that Yahoo chooses to display is not where I live and holds no interest for me. It does not allow me to display or arrange my locations as I wish. I am going to delete this app as soon as I find an alternative. I wish I could go back to the classic view. This app is intrusive and useless.

I totally agree with this comment. Besides not being able to select my own default location the app run I my IPad isn't smart enough to use my real location from the GPS. It defaults to somewhere in the cloud where my ISP is telling them I am connected. If you go to the Weather Channel, which powers this app, it will dectect your current location. Nice implementation Yahoo!

Yes it is me back again. The weather apt is now taking me on a tour of the UK. So far It thinks I live in Glasgow, Bannif and now Woking. It will not alow me to correct my location and sometimes does not let me know where it thinks I am. It addition the main page thinks I am interested in American Football. I am not even interested in normal football. Well done Yahoo

My "default location" is not displayed by default, nor is my "current location"; and no location I set will stick. Every time I revisit My Yahoo page, the Weather app just indicates my state.

a current location should actually be a current location. It shows mine as a town of 261 people, 125 miles from where I live, and with completely different weather. I have to change it every time I want to see the actual forecast for my location.

I like the new layout but it is way too big. The features of the old weather up must come back. This app is absolutely worthless as it does not default to the home city I require. It says 'Default Location' but does not go to MY chosen default location on startup. The old weather app allowed for a quick overview of MY chosen locations. The new app does not. What a pain all together!! Why is it that there is no management overview at Yahoo and allowing this garbage to get online. I will never complain about nice enhancements of a functioning system but *****-ups like this are not tolerable. Thank you.

I want to see the weather where I will be vacationing; I want to see the weather where my kids live, and I want to see my own weather. Stop screwing this up. Let me pick what I want to pick.

Ever since the update, the weather section does not work, it will not keep my location and when I tell it to detect my location it says I am in Nashville, TN. I am in Gainesville, GA which is a long way away. The old home page kept my locations so that I could tell what the weather was in other locations also.... I HATE THIS NEW HOME PAGE.

There is something wrong with whole all new weather app why do they keep changing images and adding a lot garbage and crapp. Every site on the PC it all commercialism. you won't see nothing but only that. You can't view anything anymore

Why don't you just let us choose the location. By using the ip location it gives the wrong loacation.

Before I added a comment, I wanted to verify that something was still not working. So, I clicked on "See More Details" under my incorrect location as given to me by Yahoo. It worked! I actually got more details. Getting excited, I switched the location to where I actually lived and once again, clicked on "See More Details." What did I get? A page entitled NJ Weather Forecasts that was totally blank. EVEN if this app had my location right, I need to know more information than whether or not the sun is shining and what the temperature is. How long is going to take you to fix this? Just install the code you had previous to this. Problem solved!
