7. Apple vs FBI over Backdoor

   Hi,

   It appears that something significant is overlooked in the heated debates about the backdoor.

   The recent models of iPhone and many other smart devices already have an effective backdoor, namely, a fingerprint scanner or a set of camera and software for capturing faces, irises and other body features which are easily collected from the unyielding, sleeping, unconscious and dead people. .

   Leading media like you could advocate some or all of the following recommendations towards the readers.

   • The vendors of those smart devices who are conscious of privacy and security of consumers could tell the consumers not to turn on the biometric functions.

   • The authorities who want these biometric backdoors to be kept open could tell consumers to keep them turned on all the times.

   • Consumers who are concerned about their privacy and security could refrain from activating those backdoors.

   The mechanism of how the biometric sensors make the backdoor was explained in my earlier suggestion for investigative report “Jeopardy of below-one factor authentication” and the slide “Blind Spot in Our Mind& Eye-Opening Experience” shown at

   It also highlights the silliness of authentication by selfies that MasterCard and others seem to be trying to promote as a tool for higher security. As repeatedly mentioned, the fact is that the authentication by biometrics comes with poorer security than PIN/password-only authentication in most cases.

   That the fallacy is supported and spread by so many of the reputed people does not mean that it is not the fallacy. We may well be witnessing one of the historically rare cases of global preconception or mind control.

   Lest we should see criminals delighted, I expect that you will do the needful as one of the globally influential media.

    Using iPad 2. Yahoo's own articles gray out, then blue rotating circle, then reloads and process repeats. I can't load most Yahoo articles. Started a few days ago.

18. I would like to direct your attention to the jeopardy of “Below-One” factor authentication products.

    which are the products that offer the level of security lower than a password-only one factor authentication. Sadly they are misconceived by so many people as a tool for strong authentication.

    Qualified to be called a “below-one” factor authentication is the biometric products operated together with a fallback password, which can be compared to a house with two entrances placed in parallel (not in tandem).

    There is nothing wrong in saying that a house with two entrances is more convenient than a house with one entrance. On the other hand, imagine someone shouting “A house with two entrances is safer against burglars than a house with one entrance” and you could immediately realize how silly and unethical it is.

    Similarly, there is nothing wrong with a biometric product operated with a fallback password when the product is offered as a tool for increasing convenience. But it is not just silly but unethical and antisocial to make, sell and recommend those products as a tool for increasing security knowing that it is not the case.

    Those “below-one” factor authentication products are increasingly welcomed and adopted, apparently due to support by such global brands as MS, Apple, Google, Visa, MasterCard and a number of other big businesses, leading financial institutions and government agencies as well as quite a few security experts and major media who are misled and in turn misleading.

    It might be that people get brought into the chains of vicious cycles of the misled/injured unwittingly turning into the misleading/injuring who bring in new victims, who in turn become new perpetrators, repeating it exponentially, with the misled media pouring fuel oil on the fire.

    Many of the experts, who awoke to this fact, may well have opted to be silent, possibly driven by their defense mechanism. With so many of them in silence, the chains of these vicious cycles only continue to bring in new victims and keep growing.

    This is not an issue of the relative comparison between "good" and "better", but the absolute choice between "valid" and "harmful". We must stop the growth of those vicious cycles lest the basis of a Criminals’ Utopia should be rooted too deeply and solidly.

19. Chance your search engine template and News feed to reflect Less Obviously Liberal Ideology

    One reason yahoo is finding itself pinned to the mat is that the company is following in the shadow of Google with it's liberal tilt to search and news. I don't like Google politics, but at least their search network is vast and somewhat (though not much) redeeming. Change your company to reflect real American Values, (Honest American's accept Gay friends, and don't judge women who chose abortion)instead of licking at the heels of hedonism. Just saying... I mean if you're serious about maintaining a dynamic company. & support a CLOSED border, dagnabbit!!
