New Tech page - tiles are too big, lack text summary
If you must use tiles apply some HTML5 smarts. Pulse.com at least has size options. The new flipboard web format combines graphics and text. But the real wave of the future is something like NYT Skimmer where the viewer selects the graphics/text mix and employs horizontal page "scrolling". It will be difficult to trust Yahoo Tech if it can't walk the walk.
Thanks, we appreciate your suggestions. We’re taking your feedback under review.

I agree with anonymous on the PICTURE is worth a 1000 words as I dont have time when i reach my office to read each artical before my staff comes in. All I had to do before was scroll the PICTURES and see which ones were of interest to me and click to get an expanded version of the artical. Now I cant do that and therefore have no time before my work day to read the news. My daddy used to use an old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

The last version of Yahoo news was so much better. This new version has no page appeal nor does it have a color scheme like the last one. It's hard to know what I want to read. At least with the last one I could scroll across the board and see very quickly what i was interested in and click on that and read. You can update the version you had before without changing the entire screen. And the new version must have been written by some young programmer that doesnt have a clue of how to attract the interest of the reader. Go back to the last version and just spice it up a little because it was so much more user friendly. Thank you for your consideration to this matter.

I love it just the way it is! A picture IS worth a thousand words. I can scroll through so much faster (which is nice when you don't have much time). For those who like to read text summaries, just click on the article and you can read all you want. That is what is so great about this design, it just expands the article without leaving the page. Brilliant! If you had to add something to this design, some animation of it expanding an artilce would be a nice touch and easier on the eyes.

The text looks more dominant & important today (or is it just me?)....if you're keeping the changing page why not try a fade through grey changeover with the subtitle integrated....the current R-L scroll seems to jar with the subtitle which just changes rather than scrolling R-L with each image

Hear hear!
That tiles garbage is useless. Those of us without ADHD appreciate some substance on a news page, these large tacky pictures with little information really make me just want to leave the page immediately. -

And Tech needs to be added to the black (Yahoo products) bar at the top of pages like Yahoo Groups

Yes....front page needs more text....try assuming your viewers can read!....Don't much like the big scrolling panel....find it confusing.
And why no separate category on User Voice for Tech as its now a launched product?
Where was it announced on Yahoo platforms?...I use Flickr , Mail and Groups and never saw an announcement...found out from general Yahoo stuff on Google
Overall it's a fresh looking product that's caught my interest... I like the 'How to send texts from your computer ' type of article -

It's so amazing that Yahoo Product Support (Admin, Yahoo) responds. What a cool idea - feedback from Yahoo. Now only if someone would do likewise over on the My Yahoo forums, maybe your loyal users would feel like they are being listened to, and that their views are important.
