Instead of just complaining, here is what I see could improve the new Yahoo! main page.

1- Lose the Twitter feed - If I want Twitter, I'll go look at it.
2- Menu is too large - Do I need one fifth of the page to use a menu?
3- Menu slide-out - This takes up more space and slides out too quickly. Add more delay
4- The news no longer has teasers. The headlines are not enough to entice me to read.
5- No 'main' area of the page. Where am I supposed to look? There is no information architecture that I can see.
6- New page seems 'cold' While my OCD loves the columns, the layout seems too structured and uninviting.

I could go on, but this is getting boring. I would be willing to discuss this with your Product Manager or Visual Designers. You have my information.
