How about you make the homepage almost like a windows 8-like setup, with the bigger windows being the more trending articles and the smaller articles being the less trending articles.. Obviously your goal is to get people to see more articles at once, assuming that people are leaving your homepage quickly due to lack of interest in the shown news stories or to a numb feeling of familiarity. Fine. Then at least do us a favor and do the sorting out of the annoying articles for us. Nobody wants to be bombarded with 500 different things at once. This is the exact reason why everyone in the world is not a genius, even though we have every recorded fact of the present era at our fingertips. Overload = Bad.
