How about a heads-up when you are making a major shift in the website appearance? Some people like myself DO NOT LIKE CHANGE!!!
Give the general public a chance to either accept or decline the new format as it generally takes longer to adapt to the new changes against one's will than those who willfully accept the new appearance.

Stop changing the Yahoo Home Page! It's annoying!
I liked the old page. I find the new one annoying. Every time you change the page you make it worse, get a lot of complaints, and eventually change it back. Just leave it alone and save everyone the hassle!

Provide option to switch back
This new layout, as you can tell by many of the comments, is absolutely useless and not user friendly.
If you do not at least provide an option to switch back you will be losing even more viewers than you have before and I will be joining the many people who will not be visiting your site.

Yucky! Yucky! Yucky! for the new homepage format. Information is too much and poorly organized. Does not allow for a quick glimpse of the content that one might want to peruse.
Gee, could I have the job? I could do a better job that would at least take into consideration the demographics of yahoo users. Email me if you are interested. Where is the old yahoo? I hate the new look. Why does it show a different area for weather? I go in and change it and it's still wrong.
The new format sucks. It shows the wrong weather and its cumbersome to view. The other way was better.
