When reading the op=ed from Macy Gray I have been giving it some thought. I have
never held the flag up with a special meaning, mainly because I have been aware of our history. So I have not felt all that patriotic about the
United States of America. But now it seems we might be opening up a
little to some revealing of our best behaviors but I am still not holding my
breathe. One reason I would not vote for changing the flag is because
that is what we have done with everything. When in doubt "bury It". We
have done that way too much, So we need to have a lot more dialogue
before we bury anything else, OK? Like if we wanted to make Puerto
Rico a state - why and let's hear it based on the history of us making
PR our territory and why not Guam. at this point why would we rush
into it. Do we really want Washingtin DC to be a state and why? What
we need to do is bring truth to our government and know what they are
doing and why they are doing it. NO MORE HIDING BECAUSE WHEN
WE HIND IT MUST BE SOMETHING WE ARE ASHAMED OF.
