Jack Murphy missed the story
This story focused on how there is a stigma of reaching out help. The story is that when he went for help he didn't get help. This is trend specifically on fort meade. Same thing with the VA crisis hotline - that HUNG UP on a veteran! The issue is not people reaching out the issue when they do reach out the government has decided it's cheaper for the veteran to die than to get treatment and there is no accountability when these facilities and crisis lines fail veterans. Where is the coverage of these stories? I hear all about suicide in other communities as a crisis but not enough coverage of the veteran community.
