Remove Unnecessary Categories
There's no need for the Unread, Starred, or Archive categories, as well as the entire "Views" segment (the latter of which refuses to be hidden permanently). If someone wanted those, they could always add them. But having them display by default makes the left-hand module far longer than need be.
The messages like "Change your Timezone" or "Give Feedback" remain on the bottom left. Even if someone wanted to do those things, they wouldn't need a reminder EVERY single time they signed in, blocking the useful folders for no apparent reason.
The horizontal scroll bar shouldn't exist, as the entire page should be viewable within the width of a normal laptop (15.5"+).
The trash icon that appears on the same line as the email headers used to be between the sender and the header (useful when deleting quickly), and is now at the end of the line. Why? There's no functional purpose whatsoever for the next placement, and only makes things more difficult.
