I could not see any old inbox mail

I opened my email inbox address today, I found no mail there. In fact it was zero mail in all my boxes.please,what happened so as to prevent it happening next time

    I'm really ****** off that these morons deleted all of my mail. I had important things saved that I will never see again. Yahoo owes me and everyone else who's personal belongings were taken and destroyed
