Ditch the Half in/Half out on Comments
Either allow comments across the board, or cancel them for good. The ability to comment on some parts of Yahoo and not others is ludicrous. And while you’re at it, eliminate the “temporarily suspended” language at he bottom of articles. It’s been over two years since you “temporarily suspended” comments.

Breakthrough COVID-19? Testing sites not screening for vaccinated persons. How can 1 in 5000 be accurate? Not in my recent experience.
I contracted COVID and tested positive on 8/21. Of the 10 cases in the clients and staff at the treatment facility I was staying at 5 of us claimed to have been vaccinated. All with symptoms, none at the house were asymptomatic. I know one other person who has been sick for nearly two weeks who was vaccinated. Stop blocking comments and being so weak and afraid of free public discourse
Too many times the media and big tech want to prevent the public from interaction and free expression. They believe we are weak, overly sensitive, incapable of taking care of ourselves, and vulnerable to words on a screen. Big tech like Yahoo and the others have become so oppressive and over reaching when it comes to users free comments on current news topics and therefore shut them down. I don't visit Yahoo news much anymore, because its flooded with unimportant political garbage, and no comment section.
Other news portals are announcing important events, and Yahoo still wants to know what Trump is doing.

Pls balance your crime reporting. Your crime stories predominantly portray a black face. It creates the impression that crime in the US is a black problem yet crimes are commited by people of all races. Alternatively, report the stories without posting the pictures.

Whenever the facts of a story changes you shouldn't shut down commentary. Especially when new data exonerates one of the two parties. This is tantamount to being a journalistic kangaroo court
