I like the Classic email.
How can I go back to using a password to get into my email instead of a phone number or alternate email?

First of all, 23 years of the same email, and I've never forgotten my password. I don't need a mandated 'recovery method' which is merely Yahoo's device for collecting other private data like phone numbers and other email addresses. I don't need a security 'question' because at face value, that is really nothing more than another password. IT'S ME - EVERY SINGLE TIME!! So cut out the useless and annoying nonsense, and always asking that question 'Is it Really You' especially given the fact that for the past 23 years, I've only ever logged in from the same two sources.

Stop asking if "it's really me" when I seek to log-in to my Email. It is. Nobody has access to the computer or devices I'm using - ever. If I have my password, and it's correct, there is no need to also require the answer to a 'security question' which is really nothing more than another password. It's unnecessary. 25 years of the same email address and my email and devices has never been 'hacked' or accessed by a third party - that has only happened to Yahoo's platform, multiple times, which had nothing to do with my side of device or computer access.

Everything was fine until a few days ago when advertising started appearing in my in-box and surrounding my in-box, after a very long happy pause in your attempt to force ads on us. They are generally irrelevant and distracting. So stop it.

Go back to what it was the day before yesterday, when I started to get all those stupid ads.

Since a few weeks I have to pass the robot test every time I log in to Yahoo. And since this morning Yahoo wants me to enter a 4-digit code, which is send to another Email-account. Are you paranoid? Couldn't you use some Data to verify, that this is the same computer that I used last time, i.e. IP- or mac-address? I'm using Yahoo now for decades.

Get it together with these verification checks. Every time I've tried to sign in recently, you've had some kind of verification check for robots, unusual activity, or some other nonsense. It's gotten very stale, especially when I type in your verification codes and you still insist that "something went wrong."

I don't want to sign in on Yahoo mail by using my phone. I want to go back to my password key, not a valid code that I receive by text on my phone number. Help me to go back to the password sistem.
