closing all my yahoo accounts. i'm done! way too much verification. i spend more time verifying who i am than reading mail.

Same. I went out of town and never was able to check my email. Despite entering the correct password and always have the box checked to stay signed in, it demanded extra verification. YAHOO NEVER SENT THE VERIFICATION CODE. My backup email address is correct. Repeated attempts to resend the code. No code. Nope the code was not in my spam folder. It simply was never sent. And somehow Yahoo is trying to make it my fault they don't send the code. When I clicked on the link to try different options to sign in all they did was tell me to use the same browser I normally do. Then all they did was harass me to sign up for two step verification. HOW CAN I USE TWO STEP VERIFICATION IF THEY DON'T SEND THE VERIFICATION CODE??? Never was able to access my account. I don't understand why Yahoo is so intent on losing customers.

Getting ready to do the same. Can't deal with averification process anymore. Also can't deal with non stop adds. Goin to try Gmail....Yahoo mail is wy out of control.

I'm close also. It does not accept my fanfiction .net updates and several times could not open anything, so went back to basic old mail, but still get tons of please verify.

Define the unusual activity on my accounts.
I should not need to log into multiple email accounts just to check my email. I have had yahoo account and my BACKUP Yahoo account both be flagged and require verification.

I did not activate the two step verification!!! Why am I having to use all these security to sign in??? I had no trouble at all until yahoo decided I had trouble...so they are requiring me to jump through a bunch of hoops to sign in to a basic email account!!!
