what happened to color scheme options??
I managed to get to a page that let me choose my preferred color scheme again but when I applied these changes it didn't take (to my inbox). Now I can't even access those options anymore??

i don't want a boring white email and if that feature doesn't come back, I am out. I also do not wish to see the contacts, nor calendar nor notepad tabs as I never use them. why almost nothing can be customised???

Someone posted this in another thread. From your horrible new yahoo basic mail screen, go to this link:
https://mail.yahoo.com/d/settings/0
(Bookmark it as you'll need it often).This will take you to the old settings screen. "Back to Inbox" will take you back to the usable inbox format. You can also change colors from the settings screen again.

I had the same issue since it force-upgraded me to the new mailbox and I opted to use Basic Mail instead. I even poked around in the settings (I thought I had maybe overlooked it) and can't find anything about changing the theme or colors. :/

Why are content creators literally this stupid. Leave the basic setting I have. Don't change the color rendition. don't force me to upgrade, I literally had it how I wanted it and now I can't get it bark to dark mode. When I go to their new service I can. How stupid are companies and their ability to make simple basic things work

I lost my color theme when I switched back to my Yahoo Basic Mail, which I have been using for years. If this is not going to change, I am going to be leaving for good.

Yahoo f#$^ed up everything! No color option. This is waaaaaaay too bright. Dark is too dark. It's sad, I've had yahoo for maybe 25 yrs. Now looking to switch. This is bad. Fire the one who made these changes!!!!

New mailbox is so trash, and I've lost my color when I switched back to Yahoo! basic mail.
Hopefully they fix this and get rid of the "genius" who came up with the new mailbox.

They should've left it alone, fine the way it was. I hate this bright screen, it's blinding! I hate the way everything has changed, you have to scroll all over the place to do anything. Switch it back please! I don't want to go to gmail I hate it!

I can't believe how bad Yahoo mail is now. I have worked on user interfaces in the past, and if anybody ever presented anything this bad, they would be laughed at.
The color is so blinding now and I have had issues the last year that have affected my eye sensitivity and the blinding white screen is crazy. The black option isn't much better. And that's it, huh? No other control?
Are they trying to kill this application? Almost seems like it.

Basic was better view style than the standard now and the color theme is horrendous and seems unchangeable currently. At least earlier changes you could see what's available, then decline and return to previous settings/setup. Now...can go back, but not completely. Annoyed...

I went back to my classic mail but I lost my theme. Now I don't know how to change it back. The page is soooooo bright white....horrible. Why fix something that ain't broken? I hate that I lost my old theme...Please bring back themes for those who want to use the standard version or the classic version.
