The current interface lacks options for customizing the color theme, which limits user personalization. Additionally, the overall color scheme appears overly bright and visually overwhelming.

How about allowing for customization of appearance of the inbox, i.e. selecting images or colors for background (other than the dark, light, etc.

Allow choice of different colors for background, columns, etc, as before. The new appearance is too monochrome.

What has happened to adding a theme. With the new change, it's either all white or all black, which is not good. Would like to see the ability to do a theme or some other color scheme to soften the look.

Can we please bring some colors and themes to this? This is absolutely awful looking, not user-friendly, and I'm not disappointed that I'm paying a monthly fee for something I don't enjoy using.

why can't I customize my appearance? I HATE the blue. It's a terrible shade/ tint. And the purple has no "sparkle". Leave creative components to the actual creative people like me. The aesthetics are not good.

The old Yahoo had actual themes with colors, these light/dark 'themes' lack contrast and I can't tell which emails I have already read at a glance. I would like more color options or at least a different contrasting color for read emails.

You need to have "themes" to make it a bit more lively and enjoyable. What you had in the last decade was good and that had set you aside from Google. Seeing some form of animation made me keep my Yahoo Mail account and use it very frequently. Google still doesn't have the lively themes like what you had.
Please bring it back! -

Dear Yahoo support team,
I opened the new version of my Yahoo Mail today, searched for customisation of its layout, and I could not find a way to define a colour for it . . .
This is very disappointing, since it's very helpful for me to find/select the window (because I always have many windows that are simultaneously opened in my computer) of my Yahoo Mail by the colour of it . . .

Where can I change the color scheme for Yahoo Mail Plus? I used to be able to do so and now I can't see where to do it. I don't like the options of light and dark. I would like to be able to see colors like before.

The grey lines on a grey screen are very hard to track and read. We need some colors, or bring back the old themes.

The "old" newer Yahoo mail did not offer any themes, at least none I could find. Thank you for giving me the option to return to the "old" Yahoo mail that existed prior to the "old" newer version of Yahoo mail.

The New Yahoo Mail looks scarily like Gmail (at least the only layout that works for me in this version). I'd love to be able to use at least a different background color, or a theme like in the old Yahoo Mail, to visually differentiate between the email services I use (I'd keep the old Yahoo Mail as long as possible but there's this annoying big banner that appears every time that tells me to switch to the new, so here I am, being disappointed in the new.)

It would be good if the background color could be changed for e-mails. For instance new could have yellow, read emails could be blue, and categories could be red. Some type of customising for e-mails with colour to show it is not read, new, priority, offer, social, etc.
Would make them easier to identify.
