terrible Yahoo customer service ,, you should have not forces existing customers to comply with 20GB storage,, anyone that signed up when the 1TB offer was valid should have been allowed to keep it. Also, you need to have an option for annual or semi annual or whatever length of time the customer wants to pay for in advance if they choose larger storage program. Not everyone is willing to do monthly payments,, you have poor planning and no idea how to run your business.

I've been using this service forever, and it's like you're trying to kick me off the platform. 20gigs is nothing in today's age. But I'm essentially locked out of my mail because i've reached that limit. And you shut me off right away without warning. AND your ability to bulk delete sucks! Page by page of only a few items at a time, I might as well switch providers, which brings me back to my original point.

With the new charging for email policy, Yahoo can't help to mess with their customers, no respect, no appreciation. Had big sign that after August 13th no emails will be send or received, yet it is still August 13th, only after 6 pm and already not able to send or receive emails. It's nice to know how some businesses appreciate their customers. I had Yahoo email for 25 years. In this world who cares ... sad.

Hi, few years ago I checked the storage and it said it is unlimited for free so I decided to stay with Yahoo. I have Yahoo email since 1999 or 2000. Now you are just scamming people, there is no visible usage bar, you just tell people the storage is full and they have to pay to be able to receive or send emails. It is so gross. I have new Gmail account, where it is clearly visible how the email is full. Again Yahoo users deserve better treatment not to be taken advantage.

[CORRECTION] URGENT: Please take action to avoid email service interruption. OK this whole operation is a breach of trust and blackmailing 25 year long customers, but at least give people the chance to manage their (in my case 75000 emails!). There is a link to "manage storage" in the mail (like in the previous one it corrects) but clicking on it leads to "[https://mail.yahoo.com/b/?.src=ym&reason=unexpected_ymv" and a return to the inbox. The only option offered left is to buy storage, which I by now principally refuse. There is no single way to see the amount of storage I use, there is no way to report technical issues any longer (besides of paid support). Please get your act together, 23 years ago it worked, now it does not!!

Reduction storage space from unlimited to 1TB to 20GB is a complete breach of trust. However, what is even worse is that for your oldest group of users who have continuously used your service for more than 20 years, there is no way to see the storage they actually use (there are no settings in the mail version they use), there is no way to backup the mails in Thunderbird (there is an error: The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later after every few emails downloaded, 41000 emails from 75000 emails to go) and there is zero customer or technical support left. It means no mail address in 3 weeks from now after using Yahoo for 25 years I can no longer receive mail from old contacts that I cannot warn. I principally refuse to pay for blackmailing me and for this customer treatment! Let users backup their mails at least and give them the 20GB you promise! Without allowing them, you are just closing down the company.

I'm getting your threats but the empty trash button DOES NOT WORK. Please stop threatening me and just empty the 290k emails in my trash! This is the most annoying part of yahoo mail. It's always been hard to delete emails. I don't need more storage, I just need you to take out the trash.

The new reduction to 20GB is a catastrophe, no way to see my storage space (23 year old basic account with 75000 Emails), no way to download my mails continuous mail server error in Thunderbird after downloading 35000 mails..... Is this the goodbye?

Hello, I have had the yahoo email account since its inception. I was told - in writing and after the big password leak in early 2000s - that my yahoo email will have unlimited storage, forever. Now I suddenly find that I have exceeded my storage quota, the existence of which I was completely unaware! How about sticking to your promises and keep the storage unlimited for faithful clients like me?

Maintain Yahoo's strong competitive position and unique selling point.
Keep loyal, long-term users satisfied and encourage user retention, rather than forcing them to clean up decades of archived messages or look elsewhere.
Offer a fair middle ground that balances cost management with user needs.
Preserving a higher storage cap would keep Yahoo Mail as an innovation leader, rather than following the pack. I hope you will take this feedback and the concerns of countless users into genuine consideration.
