To improve is to go back to the previous email. It looked more professional and not KIDDISH. It was also user friendly when forwarding a message. I was able to delete text that I do not want to forward. Also i was able to scroll thru any of my emails and not have to use a page button. I am sure there are other use that i will find that are not user friendly. The Basic would work better but in the settings, most of the features have been deleted. Please consider in reverting back to what works and looks better for the end user. Thank you
To Yahoo Mail Product Team,
I am writing as a long-time user to express my disappointment regarding the recent reduction of free Yahoo Mail storage from 1TB to just 20GB. Many users, including myself, chose Yahoo Mail specifically because its 1TB offer far exceeded what other providers like Gmail and Outlook provided and positioned Yahoo as a uniquely user-friendly leader in the market.
The drastic reduction—a 98% cut—directly affects users who relied on Yahoo for archiving and managing years of important emails, attachments, and memories. While it is true that not every user fills a terabyte, a 20GB limit is not only much closer to competing services but also erases Yahoo's core differentiator. This change now forces users who valued larger storage into making difficult decisions, considering paid upgrades, or leaving the service entirely.
I urge you to carefully reconsider the new cap. Setting the new free limit at 500GB would:
Still provide significant cost savings and reduce abuse compared to unlimited or 1TB plans.
Maintain Yahoo's strong competitive position and unique selling point.
Keep loyal, long-term users satisfied and encourage user retention, rather than forcing them to clean up decades of archived messages or look elsewhere.
Offer a fair middle ground that balances cost management with user needs.
Preserving a higher storage cap would keep Yahoo Mail as an innovation leader, rather than following the pack. I hope you will take this feedback and the concerns of countless users into genuine consideration.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Helaman Pereira
