Cannot control Enhanced Contacts
Hello,
I am using Yahoo Mail Basic (and have no desire to switch to a newer version), and I have noticed that the people I correspond with are automatically being added to my contacts without any action on my side. According to the Help pages, I should be able to disable this feature by disabling Enhanced Contacts, but there is no control setting for Enhanced Contacts on the Contacts page that I am able to access.
When I click on Settings > Contacts, I just see a list of people that I have added manually to the list. So, I am not even able to manually remove the contact information of the people I sent an email to in the past but did not want added to the contact list.
When composing a new email, by typing in a few letter of an email address that I corresponded with at some point in the past, this email address shows up as a suggested address, but there is no way for me to find and remove this address from my contact list since the list only contains addresses manually added by me.
If the Enhanced Contacts feature is not supposed to be available in Yahoo Mail Basic, then emails must not be automatically added to my contact list or suggested emails. If it is supposed to be available, then there should be a way for me to disable it. In the current situation, the feature appears to be on, leading to contacts being added without me wanting this to happen, but at the same time there is no way to turn this feature off or manually remove the contacts added through this feature.
Please fix this issue or suggest a way to avoid seeing unwanted email addresses suggested when composing emails in Yahoo Mail Basic.
I would appreciate your help with this.
