Stop blocking email sign in from different ip location all the time
On vacations or job travels and dynamic IP's from our ISP, we use different IP's all the time to access our email.
So, if the unusual activity doesn't compromise our recovery options or password change or spamming my contacts, just after logging in, it should not interfere with our access to the email account. Being the only reason acceptable where it would be needed the recovery email to perform the actions above, when accessing it from a different IP location.
Since 1995, I haven't trusted Microsoft's Outlook or similar apps, for the reason that they are all-time-logged and for security reasons.
Phone number spoofing is getting worse and more than usual nowadays, where using it as a 2-step authentication is not a secure option. Since June 2025, The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the main EU agency responsible for cybersecurity policy and resilience, has stopped using this kind of authentication.
Having both my emails, Yahoo and the recovery mail, blocked because of IPs from different locations is insane and dangerous, not deserving my trust on Yahoo if this persists.
I had to resort to the worst last call because of that, to recover my account... To ask a close friend and colleague to go to my enterprise PC and give her the password in order to recover my recovery email.
In more than 35 years of experience, I have never shared a password.
So please stop blocking your clients out of their accounts, get professionals that can help them when all other attempts to recover are off or Yahoo will decline. I trusted you as my main email and not Google or others.
