My suggestion
Look, the CEO is the captain of the ship. The consumer though is the water you sail on. Yahoo can follow either the captain or the consumer. A smart captain knows the consumer very well and should be very knowledgeable and predict the water that is sailed on. The CEO is the captain and the employees of yahoo are the shipmates. If you cant navigate adeptly....then both are out of touch with the water or customers. Do some interviewing, sample analysis, personal talks, investigation....like....market research. Give us what we want.
