How do I recover all the info which has been lost from my contacts?

I have lost vast amounts of information which I had entered in my Contacts. How do I recover it?

    in my contacts I had NOTES - but I can't seem to access that section - WTF???????

    I had VERY IMPORTANT INFO IN MY NOTES SECTION OF MY CONTACTS!!!!!!!

    *******PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!*******
