"Manage Publishers" feature simply doesn't work
I live in the USA, but my news feed is disproportionately heavy on news from England (UK). I do not care about the UK t all & have clicked to "See less" of all the UK publishers, yet I get far too many stories from the exact sources I have asked to stop seeing.
There are 50 US states that I care more about than the UK. STOP!
Hi, Our Engineering team is looking into this. If you could let us know what about the “show less” option isn’t working we would appreciate it. Please provide specific publishers if possible.

I have asked to stop seeing stories from 3 publishers and yet these 3 sources seem to make it into my news feed over and over - often in the top slot! Fix this please.
Huffington Post. You can click show less 50 times a day and there wiil STILL be 7 in the first 20 stories the next day

Why is it when I click show less from a publisher that you show me more Yahoo? HuffPost is a perfect example, useless opinion outlet that claims to be news and is nothing but tweets that appears 27 times in my feed with the next closest competitor Reuters showing up 9 times.

Actually remove the articles from the news source we want to see less of!!!

Improve your content algorithm so people don't keep getting articles they have no interest in. It seems to be more consistent with celebrity and fashion articles.

It has been five months since this post went up and the block publisher featur still does not work. Either yahoo is not working on it or your tech staff is pretty poor!
Glenn Snyder commented
Please change the setting to allow us to block news feeds from sources we don't want to see. I like to scroll through the news (unbiased news) and I don't want to see all of the celebrity gossip. Despite clicking to "show less" it's every other article.

I think your "engineering team" should be able to let you know what about the "show less" option isn't working.. As it is problematic to a ton of people very few if any I assure KNOW what is or isn't working.. FIX your broken pile.

I have a few publishers blocked, but somehow I usually end up with at least 3 publishers I blocked in the first 5 stories. If you don't use the block publishers feature then don't offer it...

I have a list of around 50 sites that I want to avoid - which is to say I have selected to "show less" on each of them. Yet most of the articles that appear on my screen are from these sources. How do I know?? Because when I try to remove them again - up pops a question that ask if I want to undo my original request to show less. You want specifics?? Certainly anything from or related to anything celebrity, Hollywood, Kardashians, or any sports.

How can we block publishers or topics like Kardashian, Jenner & Bieber and make it stick. Sick of seeing news about them!

Just FYI -- my business partner tells me that if he wants to know the FACTS about what's going on in the United States he goes to the British/English sites to get just that, the FACTS. You may have an asset here you don't realize!

Really need to expand the "Show Less" file. I have only 17 publishers listed. I know I've clicked "show less" on far more.
