People read your sports articles not because some AI aggregator piled together words and thoughts from other websites and made it into yahoo “content”. We read because of the actual thoughts that the highly competent people have and deliver with personality. AI should be used to help an overworked staff produce the content that doesn’t take much thought, not to replace talented people. In search of pennies for the bottom line, you have ensured that people like me will stop reading sports on your site, and therefore stop viewing the ads that bring in the money you were thinking about when you made such a shortsighted decision. Whatever “exciting” things you have planned for the future do not compensate for the cost of cutting two people that readers and listeners are actually reading and listening to. I will be looking for someplace else to read sports until yahoo regains its senses.
