Why is it that every time I comment on an article, even to say "good article", it gets rejected because it doesn't meet guidelines? Even more frustrating is that right before I try to comment someone else posts a very toxic comment and it didn't get rejected.

What is it with the totalitarian deletion of comments that are not in anyway negative, threatening, demeaning, etc? I just comments with "Wow!" to an article and it was deleted. What is wrong with commenting "Wow?" You people are officially ridiculous. What are you all afraid of?

I never swore, I never bullied, I never made any threats. I simply stated my opinion, or pointed out inaccuracies that I felt were overlooked. My punishment for not adhering to the political thinking of yahoo's editors? Suppression of speech. I just won't click on any yahoo articles anymore. Just stop clicking on the articles and read your news elsewhere. Its the only way to stop them.

I was having a very civil debate on a sports story that strayed into political territory with a person who didn't like Trump so that changed his opinion about a sports figure who did. We expressed our opinions firmly but politely. Mine were the only replies flagged! Funny how that fact actually supports the arguments I was making. Guess I need to try to find something comparable to Yahoo where they don't censor you for being "offensive."

I have had this issue as well and even comments within the community service guidelines are being flagged. I wish they would say why other then "your comment violates community guidelines'.

As a bleeding heart liberal, all of my comments are getting rejected so it must be Trump and his minions running Yahoo. Could help explain why Yahoo is going down the drain.

I am experiencing same thing. I will post something completely benign and it gets rejected. I am not sure how monitoring works on Yahoo, but have two theories:
1. Yahoo has a rogue employee (or more than one) who have authority to red-flag a user. So, if they don't like your comments (probably due to politics), they red-flag your account.
2. Posts can be 'reported' by other posters. So, if someone doesn't like your posts for some reason and even if those posts do not violate Yahoo policy, they can still 'report' them. Perhaps once you reach certain number of 'reported' posts, your account gets red-flagged automatically.
