Find it frustrating you algorithms demand for a cellphone number when there is already a recovery email given.
Today I received an email to my recovery email address saying my Yahoo account had been inactive for too long, and I needed to go into Yahoo by a certain date or lose everything. I attempted to get into my Yahoo mail. Your system kept erroring out whenever I tried to move beyond the add mobile number screen. I DO NOT want to, and WILL NOT provide my mobile number. Being the email I received from Yahoo went to the recovery email, there is obviously a secondary contact method on file with Yahoo.
