    I have been using my email account almost every day and few days ago I got an info from Microsoft that my account will be shutdown in May.
    Why will they shut it down if I'm using my email practically all the time?

    I have a similar problem as stated above, I have not logged into my yahoo account in a long time. Now, I have forgotten my password hence am logged out.
    I still want to retain my old account. Yahoo, please help me.

    It is surely not right that you delete all my old emails without telling me first, and giving me chance to save them.

    How can I get my old emails back?

    Yahoo should have informed users of changes.We are being forced to "upgrade" (to paid registration) by not being able to access OUR MAIL! I have an account since 1997 aprox. I need everything that is there. Please, re-activate account or let us download our VITAL INFORMATION.

    It is illegal for Yahoo emails from dormant accounts without informing the account owners. At least Yahoo should send an sms text via mobile phone numbers to alert the account holders that data on their accounts is about to be deleted. My account was wiped clean by Yahoo. I urge those who suffered the same action take legal action against Yahoo - in case Yahoo fails to reinstate the deleted emails and history.
