    I think is useless. yahoo don't care anymore. i thought by disabling the 2-Step Verification will fixed the problem thinking that we need 2nd approval to login. but it doesn't work. looks like yahoo will loose all it's user event more. yahoo this feature used to be working. what did you do? does this cost you if user download their email to the PC?

    Why don't you guys fix the app password? It has been unavailable for a long time. Please fix it immediately. You have been ignoring people who are using your products. Don't look like a JOKE operation!

    I will need to switch my email provider if this isn't fixed soon. Just set up an Outlook email account but I'd rather not have to go this route.

    why do I bother with Yahoo??? You dont bother to fix your password generator so I cant get mail though Outlook. Get into the 21st century. If this isn't fixed soon Im moving all to Google.

    I didn't know this issue. Poor me, I've already deleted the old app password. I am not able to access Yahoo! mail from my new smartphone.

    I cannot generate an app password for Outlook either. Please fix or advise how to do this. App password generator says not available at this tim.

    I reset my computer over the weekend. I was able to get the App Generator to work for a very old account, it would not work ten minutes later for a newer account. Please fix this feature soon. it is very time consuming to try and get the security feature working each day hoping it will be resolved in a timely manner.

    I've been struggling for months to reconnect Outlook to Yahoo via POP/IMAP after a stupidly removed the App Password trying to fix another issue. The AP works for my phone (created a couple of years ago) but no longer for my laptop.

    There are thousands of comments below this one and the help (https://uk.help.yahoo.com/kb/account/generate-manage-third-party-passwords-sln15241.html) still tells us what to do, but it continues to say that "This feature is unavailable at present". I've been subscribed to Yahoo since the mid-1990s so please do the decent thing and either reinstate this feature or change the help to tell us that this will not be reinstated.

    The WORTHLESS Microsoft "Mail & Calendar" function they built into Windows 10, Stopped Downloading my Yahoo Email. I found several Other Email Clients that Will / Can handle Multiple Yahoo Mail Addresses. I Installed Other Email Clients, but during the Authentication Step, First Method was use “Yahoo OAuth 2.0” which FAILED (Another Yahoo Problem). It was then suggested to “Use the Username & Password” Method, which FAILED (Another Yahoo Problem). The Third Method was an “App Password” Generated By Yahoo – and HERE is the Problem.

    I found ALL the Other Email Clients Need the One-Time App Password, and it HAS to be from Yahoo. Since the Yahoo App Password Generator HAS BEEN BROKEN SINCE OCT 2022 OR BEFORE, I have Little Hope for a FIX anytime This Century. After Calling Support, their response was "We Just Have to WAIT for the Engineers to FIX IT. There was NO Status on this Problem, and NO estimated Repair Date. There are Also SEVERAL Other Unaddressed Problems with the Yahoo Platform, since the LAST UPGRADE.

    GOODBYE YAHOO - You're Destroying Your Customer Base.
