    After suffering with this for days, I've given up. Clearly Yahoo is thinking that they only want users to use their own email interface. Never mind that millions of people use Outlook and other email apps. So I'm going to remove yahoo from my Outlook and then figure out how to drop Yahoo altogether. I've been using it for over 20 years, but it's time to drop them. They've turned a loyal customer into an unhappy user that will leave. Probably they don't care, either.

    Clearly yahoo does not intend to fix the password generator. They evidently think that everyone will decide to drop Outlook and use yahoo mail instead. I think they will be sorely mistaken.

    When will the problem connecting and linking to Microsoft outlook be fixed?
    I read this is an ongoing problem for more than 9 months.
    Is there any other method to link the yahoo account to Microsoft outlook.
    I will have to cancel my Yahoo account and move to an other service that works.

    When is this going to be fixed, please? This is critical to access all my past email on Outlook and now new email is not going into Outlook any more either

    This needs to be fixed. It's worked in the past, Yahoo need to fix this. I just had my phone die, and I can not get the new one setup with-out this app password generator . This needs to become a TOP priority.

    This is preposterous. This has been the status for 9 months. This will cost Yahoo many users.

    I buy outlook quit expensive, but it is useless. I can not use it for my yahoo mail, my main email.

    I have the same problem can not password generator for oulook desktop ...different with gmail.com ,,,facilities for 3rd party applications run well... I hope yahoo official solve this problem

    It does not work for me either. It's Yahoo that are old school. Other tech firms are moving with the times, meanwhile in 2023 Yahoo are trying to control its users use of third party software by restricting the generate app password feature.
    Yahoo fix password generator. I may have email accounts with them but I'm prepared to change to an email provider who values their customers and doesn't try to control them.
