    Yahoo wants to find a way to kill this service, and they already know they have found the key.

    If anyone here thinks that (paying) customers are a priority for Yahoo, they are mistaken.

    Seems like everyone agrees, this is ridiculous. It's such a pain **********, but I've had so many problems with Yahoo mail, that I'm working to migrate to a new platform.

    I can't believe I pay money for a service that will not work with client software. If it is not fixed within weeks I am going to cancel my yahoo account that I have had for 15 years. This is ridiculose

    Yea...FIX the App Password Generator!!! But then, it looks like it's only critical to the users, not to Yahoo. The SAME comments and issue has been showing for months now.

    The whole reason I created a Yahoo account was to use it with it a third party app. Absolutely useless account now without this feature. Seriously? Moving on to a sensible mail provider. Bye.

    I set up two new Yahoo mail accounts and app generator worked fine for one but gave me the "sorry not available" for the other. Somehow they have two types of accounts.

    As a minimum change the error from "Sorry, this feature is not available right now!", to "app passwords are broken and we have no idea when it will be fixed". I have spent hours searching for help with responses like: "your account is not valid" and " "sorry, I can't answer sports questions"
