It's almost like they're purposely not addressing this issue so people can't use Outlook or other platforms and it would encourage Yahoo Email users to get Yahoo Plus for $5 a month. This is a massive problem that needs to be addressed, like everyone else has said.

Like everyone else - PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!
I thought about a work-around and just forwarding my yahoo to my gmail account. NOPE! They want you to pay $9.95 a month as it is now a Premium service. Good way to loose customers.

I am unable to sync my yahoo mails in outlook. It's so frustrating and makes me regret keeping my yahoo email.

Fixed it. The New version of Outlook doesn't need the one time password generator. I resisted switching to New Outlook, but once I did, I was able to add all of my Yahoo email accounts with the normal Yahoo password, just like gmail and other services. I think it's the IMap that is no longer necessary? This won't help for the app passwords used for other purposes, but at lease those of you needing Outlook... Sorted!

Mail stopped working on Android Outlook today. Cannot make it receive mail. Yahoo client is a poor substitute. Fix app passwords or provide a new IMAP interface.

Called the support number for help and explained IN GREAT DETAIL this was not an Outlook problem, but rather Yahoo's password generator was not working again. The 2 people I talked to appeared to have never heard of this. I need to use outlook since most of my email work is off-line. Help!!!!

This is very annoying. I get no information other than: "Sorry, this feature is not available right now."
I have been a Yahoo client for many years but I am getting very close to changing to a more cooperative and responsive service.

Sorry. Pushed "send" by mistake. Yahoo generally provides a very good service and allowing mails to come through a third party (Outlook in my case) is a great benefit as I have multiple accounts for different purposes (academic, business, purchasing on-line, etc.). If the app generator is down, a little information would be helpful. If it is being withdrawn, which appears to be the case, let us know so we can seek an alternative solution.

This has been going on for WEEKS! Not even a note of explanation or reason. No ETA on a fix. No help available. It's a VERY good reason to find another provider.

Same as other people. I need this feature for Quickbooks. If not, I have to scan each invoice and email outside of Quickbooks. C'mon Yahoo! Get it together
