update my phone number so that verification services will not keep trying to ust my OLD NUMBER.

Why doesn't Yahoo automatically update my phone number after I enter it manually on the website???

    YAHOO NEEDS TO VERIFY MY PHONE NUMBER WITH THE CORRECT INFORMATION.

    Yahoo FAILS to provide the CORRECT phone number to verify my identity, so that texts sent to the WRONG number NEVER REACH ME.
