PLEASE-PLEASE-PLEASE, go back to the "Yahoo Finance Classic" display. Biggest fault of good management/managers is fixing what isn't broken.

Time has run out Yahoos. After nearly 3 decades of using Portfolios for my Watch List needs, I cannot waste any more time trying to read your new layout. Maybe when a certified pro gives you a "fix list" you might want to get cracking. With market days like the last 2, we cannot afford your lack of action. I too have found a wonderful replacement that suits my needs (and so much more). My personal requirements for a watch list are:
-Tabular format making appropriate use of conditional formats, bold, etc., for readability-Ticker name that is Justified Left and trimmed to preserve screen real estate
-Customizable columns and column sequence
-Tickers easy to add such as multiple tickers separate by commas
-Tickers accepted include stocks, etfs, mutual fund, indices, commodities, currencies
-Easy to rearrange ticker sequence (i.e. rows) and option to sort by a column
-Punch out link to more info by clicking on ticker or other columns
-Ancillary research data including analyst estimates, financials, historical data, charts
-Live refreshes of the data AND is correct INCLUDING the daily change % and amount
-And did I mention that if I am seeing ads, it all needs to be FREE of charge to use.
I ruled out half a dozen alternatives but find barcharts is my new tool going forward, where I now have a custom 15 column (the max) watch list containing 110 tickers that only lacks maybe 3-4 poorly populated columns in Yahoo!F. Meets ALL above criteria, though have not figured out currency adds. I also took a few hours to create a custom watch list in Google Sheets that uses a built-in function to retrieve G-finance data. The interface is like Excel. It allows multiple tabs, each with its own watch list and all are refreshable. That's where the easier part ended and 2 days of coding began in order to write scripts: one that figures out if the market is open, and a second that refreshes the data upon execution. Their built-in scheduler can run the script as often as every minute. My three tabs with 25-50 rows each and 26 columns each refresh in about 1 second, so the tab will go blank for a second. Some experience in scripting and/or Excel macros helped. Without the custom coded scripts, it would be attractive watch list option, but with a manual refresh by the user, for any spreadsheet enthusiast free of charge. Yahoo, see ya next to AOL in the brand boneyard.

This just isn't going to work. I lost so much time and work and probably money this week. Have to find another platform. I'm trying everything.

Had a day chart tab open displaying ticker NAZ in the background, When I brought it to the foreground perhaps an hour later i could see it had added new "transactions" by drawing the line out to the current time. It had added add action oscillating between 11.48 and 11.01. I refreshed the tab and when chart updated the action looked realistic given the days actual low was about 11.40. Seen this a number of times this week on the new format. Not sure I ever saw it on Classic. Limit your liability by giving the Classic view back to users. We don't want fake data. It will cost us $ Yahoos. I'm sure as **** Apollo has not used or recommend your new **** to clients.

This is a terrible change. The mobile app is better than this. You have so much blank wasted space. You don't let us see the dollar change and percent change at the same time. We should be able to organize the feed the way we want Please go back to the classic yahoo finance!!!

Seeking Alpha lets you set up and customize and is close enough to the old Yahoo Finance screen spread. I guess we're all going to need to migrate. A hassle, but I'm setting up a new portfolio there now. If it's close, the same, or better I'll try to advise later if I'm able to maintain sanity and have the ambition.
I used to code exquisite user interfaces with features to cover the universe of possibilites for users, and this kind of idiotic change / oversight indicates to me there are too many newbies with no solid understadning of how actual users use the App. But that's more and more common nowdays. Hard to grasp how such a simple trivial set of feratures or toggles could be not considered in a design plan. Which points out....... NO PLANNING involved existing users, or the existing user base. Thank you Yahoo.
Update: I was able to create a Seeking Alpha Portfolio view almost100% identical to Yahoo Finance classic view with 25 Columns. And it is live and updates the screen every 5-7 seconds with real time data. Only columns I couldnt get for my interests were the Pre Market Price and Pre Market Percent Change.

I am actively looking for a new place to monitor stocks with the indexes on top similar to the Old classic page here. This new "Portfolios "page with the unmovable widgets is the most horrendous. Please post any new site here

Has anyone heard anything? Anyone know how to contact yahoo by phone? I've lost time and work this week because of this.

Apparently, with this cluttered page Yahoo is attempting to determine how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

I realize you're simply taking feedback and not the decision maker on the Right Pane Widget no longer being able to toggle off or be turned off. But I need to be honest. The exclusion of the feature (or non-existence of an Off toggle feature really totally sucks). I've used Yahoo finance forever (20-30 years) but that one simple thing they changed a few days ago will likely mean I leave Yahoo and find something else to use. Mindwarping. Frankly ridiculous that designers would not allow for that unless senior management has locked it out to simply try to get more Add revenue. But that makes no sense either as there are no Adds in the Right Pane, which makes it doubly stupid!
Sorry for my rant in advance. Nothing directed towards you personally. I know all about Product Support, as I used to Direct a large Worldwide Product Support apparatus for ThermoFisher's largest Instrument manufacturing division, but this is a ridiculously sad programming oversight (tell the boss….PLEASE). I was also a Senior Business Analyst and Cloud reporting developer also for a stint so I know all about Cloud BI coding, and made exquisite User Interfaces and Reporting, and a change this idiotic is frankly hard to comprehend. But I guess that where we're at with developers nowadays.

What will it take to force Yahoo back to the Yahoo Finance Classic display?
Probably a loss of users and subscribers to the rest of Yahoo's platform. -

If I didn't know better, I would say that Yahoo doesn't monetize their finance website, so they introduced the new format to push their users away to save on bandwidth charges.
