Default sort of holdings should be the order in which they were entered
The add symbol function does not behave consistently. Each month, I remove all the entries and replace them with an ordered, current list of holdings. It is usually around 100 entries. The dialog, regrettably, is limited to five symbols at a time. That is bad enough (and much more time consuming than the classic finance interface which could import more than 100 symbols nearly instantly), but the order of entry is lost because the interface sometimes, apparently, remembers the prior five (or ten) when five new ones are submitted. Most of the time, it responds with "five symbols added successfully." But every so often, the response is 10 or 15 symbols. Because the entries already are on the list, it completely mashes up the order. The new Yahoo Finance, overall, is not nearly as useful as the old version. It's in a state that should be considered an internal, alpha release and should not be forced on users with the significant bugs and horrible design attributes. It's like the New Coke of online media.

Please withdraw this trash and restore the prior interface, which was better, faster and worked consistently. It's almost like the programmers have no understanding of what investors need.
