The portfolio page on yahoo finance take a large percentage of CPU usage continuously. Not sure why this is happening or what I can do to stop my desktop fans from getting very noisy as a result of yahoo finance portfolio page background cpu usage. Scrolling through the full webpage I noted dozens of news/ads that seem to have dynamic content. Perhaps this is the problem. My workaround is to
- open the yahoo finance portfolio with my portfolio
- download my portfolio info
- close the webpage
This can be done before the computer fans get to noisy. This is at the cost of any further use of that webpage for the day.
