You should show more than 1 route, because from my house I am always given the longest route instead of the best route.
I live right were there are numerous freeways, and yahoo always picks the longest. You should give more than one in fact for me the 55 South to the 22 West then the 405 is closer than going the 91 to the 605 to the 105 then to the 405. I if you did more than one freeway you would see that you are listing longer distances.
