1. Please address the following issues with the application

   I'm disappointed by the yahoo app. I used to read the yahoo news in my web browser and every 30 seconds the ad for the yahoo app would pop up. I finally gave up on closing the box a hundred times and downloaded the app. What a disappointment.

   Firstly, none of the true news stories are available. They are all fluff pieces. I had to open the web page to find the breaking news on the school bombing in the Middle East.

   Secondly, the scroll down feature is much more ineffective than the swipe left or right. Swipe once, I get the gist of the entire article. Scroll down takes longer.

   Thirdly, the pop up button that states that there are new articles posted. Seriously, I just opened the app 0.5 seconds ago and there are now three new stories?! (That are all worthless fluff!)

   And lastly, yahoo, have you fired all your editors or are people too lazy to reread their work before they turn it in/post it? Is it too much to ask to have proper spelling and grammar? I am not in the journalism field, (and don't claim to be an expert in the least) however I can pick up on blatant spelling or grammatical errors. Maybe I should apply for an editor position. While I think the grammar and spelling errors are relatively easy fixes, I would ask that the content of some of the articles have stronger research. The who/what/when/where/why aspects of many of the articles seems to be missing. Or, at the very least, provide us with a follow up story on those that are still breaking news when all the facts are discovered.

   Thank you for allowing feedback from your users. I will be deleting the app and using your website, instead. I enjoy keeping up on the news (you are one of four news stations I follow and they too have their faults) and like the format on your website.

3. Widget shows subjects I'm not interested in!

   I downloaded the Yahoo app specifically to use as a news widget. The first thing I did was specify that I was NOT interested in articles about parenting (don't have kids, don't want them), and yet when I pull down the 'curtain' on my phone, the first thing from the Yahoo app is Parenting articles! No matter what I do, no matter how many times I ask it to show me fewer parenting articles, there it is, at the top of the list. The widget only shows three articles, and all three are subjects I'm not interested in!
   This is really frustrating. Seriously, a NEWS app whose first priority is to show me articles about Inspirational parenting quotes?

18. New story count

    The app sometimes says there are new stories, but when you scroll up to the top for these new stories, some are new and others are from earlier and are repeats. This is not useful or desirable for readers, I don't want to scroll up to find what should be current news only to get old stories.

19. "New Story" pop up is VERY annoying! Yes, seems great to have but when I'm scrolling down to read new stories, it's annoying that I can't tu

    "New Story" pop up is very annoying. Please give me the option to turn it OFF. When I scroll down reading stories, I get very annoyed that the new story button pops up! I want to be able to read through what I want without that annoying button taking up 1/3 if my reading space!

    Solution: give me the option to read new story but find my place where I left off. Or, let me hide that stupid button because it's REALLY annoying.
