Trash the new app. It's been a nightmare. I stopped using all of yahoo's apps.

the app has many repeated news stories and the formating is poor. also some news stories have a link to desktops versions of the websites
The aesthetics of the app are not good. You can do better and eliminate repetition of stores.

Choose how liberal/conservative your news is!
The best improvement would be configurable content. I want liberal, happy news. Others want downer, conservative news. Give us the choice with two sliding scales: a happy/unhappy scale and a liberal/conservative scale. Everyone wins.

fix the many bugs
Fix the forceclosing ever 5 minutes. Fix it so when it refreshes the article list it doesn't kick you out of what you're reading do you have to scroll through the article list to find what you were reading. And fix it so if you dislike a subject, category or topic, they stop coming up.
