I want to be able to easily change news interests. I don't want to hear about lottery winnings or random celebs!
I don't want to hear about the lottery or celebrities, I want breaking news that is important to me. I get notifications several times a day about the same story, and it's frustrating to have my toolbar clogged with AT&T Live instead of my messages or other news.

More settings.
I can't find anything on how to change the local news.
I changed states and I still get the news from my old state.
Control over when the notifications are delivered and if each article as it's own notification or just one notification with all the headlines listed.
Having the notification expire after a day or two. Also, removing notifications for articles that are not available.
Letting the user set the interval for when new articles are fetched.

add settings option for headlines only (no pics)
Add an option in Settings for headlines only without pictures - it's a pain to scroll past articles I'm not interested in.

Make the app more user friendly.
Pretty stupid that more stories now open on the Web. And when you open the story, there's a screen to download the app. Make the app able to do more without having to leave the app. And use Yahoo articles, not some other site's stories.

This app only gives me a small snapshot of news. If I want the news, I go to the Yahoo Web page to get better news. Plus the news articles show up more than once under each section

Stop astroturfing us with articles about the Seattle Seahawks. Pretending a 6 & 5 team is a world beater just screams that you are in someone's pocket.

Notifications> Local News
I opted in for Local (L.A.) News notifications, yet i get [5+] headlines from across the country then none for days. Putting aside whack sync and concept of "news," user should be able to define "Local" inclusions with Zip Code and (possibly) mile-radius.

Allow for topic preferences in news feed.
The only time I can see news from my area is when it's sent to my phone in an alert, and if I get 4 alerts for 4 different stories I have to choose which one looks more interesting because as soon as I select one or open the app, the other 3 disappear. I can't filter the celebrity garbage from world news, it limits how many articles to show me (I can't go back more than ~15 items), and at least 1/3 of the articles and sponsored content.

Put more good reviews up on android products. Apple isn't the only phone maker
I know you are either paid by or have huge stock in Apple, but they aren't the only phone, table or computer maker. Samsung has amazing products out there, but for some reason unknown to me, you overlook all the positive attributes of Samsung phones and only feel the Apple is worth noting. Please stop being so Apple biased.

Why no Yahoo Groups access? Browsers cant resize and pasting is impossible with one Puffin pro that does.
Why no Yahoo Groups access? Most all Android mobile browsers can not resize terribly small text input windows using full Chrome mobile or page resize text reflow and pasting is impossible with the one Puffin Pro (paid) that I found does. This Yahoo Fourms lack of support failing to move into the 21st century is almost criminally negligent for a major Tech company.

Seriously everyone could do with one or two less stories about the Kardashians. In fact you can delete them all and not a single tear will be shed. Seriously considering deleting this app. You owe it to people to provide a better quality of story selection.
