fix the bug with notifications
shows someone repelys to a comment of mine but when I click on it, it will take me to a different post that I never looked at. been happening for awhile and still it why?

Notification Return Buggy as all Heck
Thanks for at least trying to bring back notifications, but it is so riddled with bugs it's pretty clear no one did a beta test. Links still take you to random, incorrect articles just like before it went offline. There is no meaningful "management," so why you have a link to "manage" notifications is baffling.

Comments get moved to different news stories.
After reading and leaving a comment on a news story, when returning to the comment at a later date, I find that it is attached to an article that I never even clicked, and often onto ones I never would have looked at. Ever. Maybe look into that.

yahoo videos WILL NOT PLAY ON SAFARI. PLEASE FIX IT. I have waited long enough.

Notification says "New replies and thumbs up..." when there are only new thumbs up
Notifications incorrectly say "New replies and thumbs up..." when there are new thumbs up, but no new replies, on a comment.
For example, I posted a comment that has received 10 replies and 5 thumbs up. When a 6th thumbs up occurs, but no new replies, the notification I receive says "New replies and thumbs up..."
Notifications should be more accurate.

Videos never play on Yahoo.com unless they are ads. Make news videos as reliable as ads.

Get rid of the auto pop out on the side of video windows.
When I go to watch a video and I move the mouse over the video window you have a sidebar that pops out with more video suggestions. That is annoying. I roll over the video to see how much is left and that stupid sidebar pops out and covers up what I'm watching and also doesn't allow me to click on reload video if I happen to leave my Flash plugin enabled and that screws up the video loading which is another annoyance. Your site is the only one I have to disable the Flash plugin with in Chrome to…

In the Politics section front page you have had Obama's picture posted for almost a full week. At least change the fron paget occasionally
Yahoo news is getting duller by the day. Someone should proof read everything that is posted on a daily basis.

notifications occur for muted people
I have begun muting commenters who are just trolling. But I seem to still get notifications when they post comments that I am active in.
It would be best if the notifications ignored people that have been muted.

Am getting a message when I try to use the 'email' an article feature which says 'Errors Occur'. Sounds like hacking to me. What gives?
Just set up a new Yahoo account so I can email articles to friends. Within 2 days, I am being blocked with a message 'Errors Occur' which sounds like English isn't the first language here. I suspect hacking on your site trying to phish out email addresses. Could you look into this?

Your notifications system doesn't always take us to the right story. The old way worked. So, if you wish to save yourself some work, go back to the old way.
