Small African Country TAKES ON cLIMATE cHANGE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
World's Largest Nature-Based Climate Action Solution receives its first 1.5 Million Acres for planting High Carbon Sequestrating Plants
Monrovia, Liberia - Dec 19, 2023 - Liberia, a West African nation renowned for its natural beauty, has made a groundbreaking commitment to combat climate change through a nature-based initiative.
SYCADI, in collaboration with the Indigenous Farmers Association of Liberia (IFAL), has partnered with 4iAfrica, an organization dedicated to sustainable solutions in Africa. This partnership signifies Liberia's determination to protect its people and the planet.
"With the devastating impact of climate change on our agricultural sector, we could no longer stand idly by," stated Samuel Martor, CEO of SYCADI.
The 4iAfrica flagship climate action project, AGR, is now the world's largest and most sustainable nature-based solution. The project focuses on removing billions of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere through large-scale planting of high carbon sequestrating plant species, such as halophytes and industrial hemp.
"Liberia's commitment has the potential to remove millions of tons of CO2 annually," remarked Al Karaki, CEO of 4iAfrica, setting a precedent for other African nations.
The project also empowers local communities, establishing circular economic systems and processing centers. These centers transform harvested crops into valuable products, including food, medicines, building materials, bioplastics, and bioenergy.
"Advanced technologies like AI, drones, and IoT help us monitor and manage crops effectively," explained Karaki and our product platform connects farmers with buyers worldwide, ensuring fair market access and economic empowerment."
Liberia's dedication of 1.5 to 2 million acres to this project demonstrates its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
"We applaud Liberia's visionary leadership in embracing nature-based solutions," concluded Karaki. "This project proves that climate action enhances food security, economic prosperity, and environmental sustainability." "Several other countries both in Africa and elsewhere, will be joining AGR in the coming months as as they are preparing their land allocations through various government departments.

Wanting to get this article into Yahoo News to make people aware that there is a large scale Nature Based Climate Action Solution being implemented. If the outcome of Liberia's participation results in the removal of several million tons of CO2 and create jobs for their farmers and families in the agricultural sector - imagine if a few more countries allocate some land for the project - we can remove over a billion tons orf CO2 a year!
