  1. I would love a new stat BB+TB

There is a big need for including walks in the scoring categories. I think it would be amazing if we could have a stat that combines Total Bases and Walks.

This would fill such a need for being able to account for the importance of extra base hits while also giving credit for walks.

  2. Cap RBI to How Many Runs Scored a Team Has.

I think an option that is badly needed for a more realist feeling is only allowing RBIs for the number of runs a team has. Meaning. If a team combined RUN total is 975 then that's the most RBIs you can have. It forces teams to have more balance and quite frankly is reality. In real life if you only have 700 runs you can't have 900 RBIs! I've had this option elsewhere, Thanks,

If a player’s game is officially postponed (PPD), you can move that player to the bench and swap him out for another player on your roster even after the game’s originally scheduled start time. Note that if any stats have been counted for the game (for any player) before the game is postponed, the roster position will remain locked and cannot be edited.

Players in games with a status of delayed will be locked. Only when the game is officially postponed will the player be unlocked.

  5. Adjusting back due to 7-innning double-headers

I see that the MLB is going with 7-inning double-headers again in 2021. This was a major problem for managers in 2020, because it conflicted with Yahoo's decision to no longer count double-headers as one game in games-capped leagues, but rather two. This would make sense in a normal season, but it's a huge problem in a season where there are 7-inning double-headers. There are so many instances in those short games where it isn't even worth putting a player in your lineup, because the batter only bats three times in the first game, then serves as a pinch-runner in…

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for your feedback.

In leagues using a max games played for the season, players are credited with a game even if they only enter as a batter, pinch runner, or defensive replacement. This is regardless if they play in a 9 inning game or two 7 inning games due to a double header.

If a player enters regardless as playing all 7 innings or just a pinch runner, it will still count as a game for those doubleheaders but we will pass along your request to our product team.

    Thanks,

When a game is suspended, the stats for the affected players are retroactively applied once play resumes by using stat corrections. Since stat corrections are only processed on Mondays there may be a posting delay.

  7. K% as a Pitching Category

Please add K% as a pitching category. It is a much better statistic than K/9 because it rewards effective pitching, not just getting strikeouts.

    Hi Fran,

    Thanks for your feedback.

You can see criteria for a hold for Yahoo Fantasy at https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN6910.html.

One of the criteria include the pitcher coming into a hold situation. A hold situation is not considered if the pitcher comes into the game before the 6th inning of a game. Clippard came into the game on the 17th in the 5th inning and therefore would not meet the criteria for a hold in fantasy scoring.

    Thanks,

  10. Error in Schedule

I am in 3 Daily Leagues. All of them show the Yankees vs. TB postponed today, Aug. 6th. While that is correct, the Yankees ARE playing, in Philadelphia at 6:05pm. Please FIX IT, the ignorant will cry they didn't know there was a game.

  11. Weekly Innings Pitched Maximum limitation to control streaming in Points Leagues

Streaming of Starting Pitchers is a problem in points leagues. This can only be partially controlled by lowering the allowed weekly transactions. The current settings only allows a "Minimum" number of innings per week. In points leagues, this has little or no value. A Maximum limitation would force managers to allocate available innings to higher quality pitchers, rather than streaming numerous mediocre pitchers to amass more points. Please give this proposal your consideration.

  12. Quality Starts visual placement

Our league is planning to finally make the switch from Wins to Quality Starts for the upcoming Fantasy Baseball season, but we're not fans of the difference in where Quality Starts is currently visually placed on a Yahoo stat line - coming at the end of their numbers, after things such as as ERA/WHIP/K.9.

It would be great if Yahoo could move them up in the UI, right next to where Wins currently appears - immediately after Innings Pitched, before Saves - so the category setting adjustment isn't as, visually jarring. Would be great to be able to make the…

  13. John Gant's appearances on Sept 5 and Sept 8 should have earned him Holds or Yahoo's definition of Holds is misleading

On Sept 8 Gant entered the game with a 5-2 lead, pitched an inning, and exited the game without giving up the lead.

On Sept 5 Gant entered the game with a 5-1 lead and runners on 1st and 2nd, with the tying run on deck, pitched 1.1 innings and exited without giving up the lead.

Neither was counted as a Hold but both are Holds under Yahoo's rules, excerpted below:

    HOLD:
A hold can be earned by more than one reliever and is credited when the reliever comes into a save situation, records at least 1 out, and gives…

    Hello,

    Thanks for leaving feedback.

In the two games you have referenced. Gant entered both games in the 5th inning.

In our game, a save situation is not considered if the pitcher enters the game prior to the 6th inning. So Gant did not meet the criteria for a Hold as he did not enter the game in a save situation.

    Thanks,

  14. Nick Anderson save on Sept. 23

TB's Nick Anderson should have been given credit for a save on Wednesday, Sept. 23. He entered the game against the Mets with a three-run lead (8-5) and finished the game with the lead in tact.

  15. Pablo López let in 3 runs on 8/24 but has an ERA of 0!

Pablo López pitched 5.0 innings on 8/24. He gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth via 2 Sac flys and a single. How does he have an ERA of ZERO? There was only 1 error by Miami at that point, it was not during the 5th.

Should his WHIP also be higher?

    Hi Roman,

Thank you for leaving your feedback.

Holds are not an official MLB statistical category: You may find that different statistical services use a different criteria, which is why holds reflected in box scores may not appear in your team scoring.

To see additional criteria for holds, please go to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN6910.html.

Part of the criteria for a hold is a pitcher must enter the game in a save situation. A save situation in our game is not considered if the pitcher enters the game prior to the 6th inning. Strahm entered the game in the 5th, prior to the 6th, so this was not a save situation and would not meet the criteria for a hold.

    Thanks,

When a game is suspended, the stats for the affected players are retroactively applied once play resumes by using stat corrections. Since stat corrections are only processed on Mondays there may be a posting delay.

Exception – In Head-to-head leagues corrections will only be processed if they apply to the most recently completed matchup.

  19. Stats not listed correctly for Anthony Santander on 8/09

When looking at Player info for Anthony Santander on 8/9, it indicates 1/3 with 2 RBIs. But when you click on the game score of "W, 6-2", he is listed as 1/4 with 2 RBIs.

Baltimore/Washington finished a game from 8/9 on 8/14 and Santander finished the 8/9 game with 1/4 with 2 RBIs. So I think his stats need to be changed from 1/3 to 1/4 for 8/9. His stats for 8/14 appear to be correct.

    Hi Doug,

    Thanks for your feedback.

If you go to the desktop site and look at the stat corrections for week 3, you’ll see there is a pending stat correction for Santander to add an at-bat for the 1-4 stat line in the completion of the game from 8/9. You will also see that the correction is listed in red. Corrections displayed in this way were received too late to apply to the scoring for your league.

  20. Stats not listed correctly for Renato Nunez on 8/14

When looking at Player info for Renato Nunez on 8/14, it indicates 0-4. But when you click on the game score of of "L, 3-15", he is not listed in the lineup. Chris Davis played.

Baltimore/Washington finished a game from 8/9 on 8/14 and Renato finished 0-4 for that game. But his stats for 8/9 only list 0-3.

So I think his stats need to be changed 0-4 on 8/9 and for NOT playing on 8/14
