Commissioner Tools - Allow commissioners to change strike parameters
Requests to allow commissioners to change strike parameters, i.e. preventing a tie from being a strike.

I accidentally started the season with zero strikes allowed when everyone was under the impression we had one extra strike like in the past. Now I can't change because it's locked.

I've been in survivor pools with the opposite objective. Pick one team to lose every week and you cannot reuse that team. It would add a fun twist to the standard game.

There needs to be a manager option where we can choose if a tie is considered a strike or not.

It seems that this issue was brought to the attention of Yahoo back in at least 2017. It is now 2 years later (This time Detroit & Arizona are at fault) and this has not been addressed yet. I find it very frustrating that there has yet to be a toggle option introduced to the settings.

The Survivor rules state that a loss (or 2 losses, depending on your league) and you are out. Since a tie is really not a win or a loss, it shouldn't count. I'm not aware of any Yahoo Survivor league that is tallying wins, so why should a tie be tallied as a loss. This has never made any sense and I'm amazed this has still not been corrected after so many years. BTW, I did not take Pittsburgh or Cleveland.

This is a big problem - with the Cleveland/Pittsburgh tie this weekend many of the players in my group who picked Pittsburgh are now showing a strike but ties should not count as losses - you should at least give commissioners the option to change that - you should also give commissioners the ability to adjust player results/picks in private groups

In the real world of the NFL (as well as other sports that allow ties in the regular season standings), a tie counts as ½ win + ½ loss; therefore the statement that "ties are not losses" is not 100% true.
According to the rules of survivor (how to play), the objective each week is picking a team to WIN; not picking a team not to lose.
And as for every game in a single week ending in a tie ... let's just say that YOU are at least a million times more likely to be struck by lightning.

It's called Survival Football. If you don't lose, you "survived". It may seem unfair to get eliminated because your game ended in a tie. Imagine if during one week every game ended in a tie. Everyone would get eliminated because ties are treated as losses. Ties are not losses.
