My idea…. put it back to the old page and then in the future ask people what they would like to see different. If "my Yahoo" page doesn't return to normal in 3 days I'm heading back to Tickerspy.com and setting up my stock page!
Thanks for nothing Yahoo.

Too bad iGoogle is gone. The only other decent option I've found is My MSN. It's got many of the features we all like about the Classic My Yahoo. And it's pretty customizable. There is something called ighome.com that might be worth a look. Not impressed with Netvibes (which seems to have gone the tiles route, too).

This new format is really bad. I have now added a new address on the Outlook mail. It certainly can't be any worse than yahoo. You will certainly lose customers over your new look. Not friendly to use either.

How do I go back to the clear and concise old format? What other homepages are out there to use if Yahoo stays like this?

I just spent about an hour configuring My MSN and I'm pretty happy with the result. It has many of the features of Classic My Yahoo, including multiple weather locations and the ability to display my portfolio. There are lots of choices for news and sports modules. Alas, though, not the New York Times Dining & Wine section. It does mean using Bing for searches, but that's okay. So anyway, that's where I'm headed when Yahoo takes down Classic.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is close pals with Obama. Maybe she got the healthcare.gov web designers to design this disaster too

I have been a user of Yahoo home page and e-mail since the late eighties. The Yahoo home page was the center of my internet experience. Now someone at Yahoo decided to reinvent the whole concept. They must not have heard of the statement, " if it ain't broke don't fix it, stupid". It looks like Stupid went ahead and changed our home page. This leaves the dedicated and loyal users of Yahoo out in the cold. I have my stock on the block to sell, and tomorrow I go searching for a new home page. Goodbye Yahoo.

I agree. I've had the old "My Yahoo!" page for almost 17 years. It was exactly the way I wanted it. With the change to the new format, I lost everything as I had it set up . . . and now, apparently, I can't format my page in any way that approximates what I previously had. It's awful. The fact that I didn't have a chance to "try it out" before deciding whether I liked it . . . well, that's making me rethink the value of having any Yahoo! in my life anymore. I may just port everything (email, calendar, news summaries, etc) over to Google and call it a day. This change is a real kick in the pants, Yahoo!, especially to people like me who have been fastidious users of yours for nearly 20 years!
