Skipping the pick for Thursday Night Football should result in lose of average league confidence point value
Currently if a member does not input a pick for the Thursday Night Football game then they simply lose their 1-pt value pick since they still have the option to pick any point value later in the week. I would propose that if you miss the Thursday Night Football pick then you lose whatever the average pt value pick is for the who league.
The reason for this request was that during the Chiefs-Chargers game this week every member of my group picked Chiefs to win with point average of ~10. However chiefs lost. Now by default the person that forgot to make a pick now has a +9 point differential advantage this week over everyone else even though they missed the pick! They should lose there 10 point pick since likely they would have picked on average with the group. This would keep things fair and not give advantage to someone who missed a pick.

This is a much more elegant solution to the "max penalty" suggestion that's currently sitting at #2... Much more fair!

I have been running the same 40-50 person yahoo pickem league for 10+ years now, and we realized early on that the missing of the Thursday game could actually help some irresponsible non-pickers at times because it defaults to the 1 point game.
In my league, we require anyone that misses a Thurs/London/Thanksgiving Game to put the highest point value (or remaining point value in the case of say, Thanksgiving day afternoon games) for the missed game.
I've petitioned Yahoo to make the missed Thursday/pre-Sunday Noon games to default to minus the highest point value available for that given week as opposed the problem-causing 1 point value, but to no avail.

this is same idea as "Missed deadline and confidence points" that was posted in 2017 and has a lot of comments and votes to it.
